Sadly, instead of moving on their couture musings, Saturday’s show not only went back to school, but brought them back to where they were last year, The best look in the show was one that captured this abstract mood they excel at: A deceptively-simple white bustier dress, with folded, almost origami-like swarovski crystal pink enamel paint ballerina shoes slippers ballet dance earrings christmas gift new jewelry the nutcracker swa pleats giving it a shard-like jagged silhouette, VIVIENNE WESTWOOD, Medieval pilgrims that Vivienne Westwood imagined during a visit to Canterbury Cathedral were the unlikely muses for the British designer’s collection..
The nightclub singer has a crush on the stockbroker, who’s in love with the debutante, who’s engaged to an English aristocrat. What can be done? Well, for starters, the broker stows away on an ocean voyage to try to convince the debutante to run away with him, abetted by a gangster disguised as a priest. A teensy bit naughty and thoroughly nautical, “Anything Goes” is a work of pure escapism, a lighthearted musical comedy featuring thwarted romance, wacky high jinks and an impressive array of Cole Porter songs. The Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre production at Pleasanton’s Firehouse Arts Center serves as a helpful reminder of what a devilishly witty and dazzlingly catchy songwriting genius Porter was.

Zeek will achieve that goal this weekend during four performances of the beloved Christmas tale at Holy Names University in Oakland. While some dancers might let obstacles hinder their progress, the Deer Valley High School senior continues to pursue and take on difficult principal roles. “It gives me something to work toward with better roles,” Zeek said. “The greatest challenge is people underestimating me sometimes and not giving me certain roles.”. The 17-year-old is the only Antioch resident who takes ballet lessons in the Oakland Ballet School where Joral Schmalle is artistic director, having taken over after famed director Ronn Gudi retired. At age 4, Zeek began taking ballet classes with Doreen’s School of Dance and Delta Ballet Academy and later won competitions starting at 11 for both choreography and dance.
